Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding and improving behaviors. It relies on principles of learning and motivation to increase positive, functional behaviors and reduce harmful or unwanted ones. ABA interventions are highly individualized, targeting socially significant goals such as communication, social skills, self-care, and academic performance.
Contact us via phone, email, or our online contact form, and a staff member will reach out to gather insurance information to determine eligibility within our practice. We will also discuss any concerns or questions you may have.
If your child is eligible for services with us and you are satisfied with your decision to have us as your child's therapy provider, then we will initiate the intake process. During the intake process, we will provide you with forms to complete (e.g., client information, consent and authorization forms, HIPAA & privacy acknowledgment, etc.). We will also require authorization documents such as a physician referral and a comprehensive diagnosis evaluation (CDE).
After reviewing client documentation to ensure the required documents are available (e.g., physician referral and a comprehensive diagnosis evaluation), we can make an authorization request with your child's payor. Wait time for authorization approval may take up to 7 business days, depending on the payor.
Following form completion and insurance verification, we’ll schedule a comprehensive behavior plan assessment with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). This assessment helps us develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your child’s unique strengths and needs.
A Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct a behavior plan assessment, which includes direct observations, data collection on baseline behaviors, standardized tools, and caregiver interviews. This will help us understand your child’s skill level, behavioral challenges, and areas for improvement.
Once the assessment is submitted to the payor and authorization for services is approved, then an RBT will be able to render direct one-one-one therapy under the supervision of the BCBA/BCaBA assigned to your child's case. Sessions can take place at home, at school, or in the community setting, depending on the individual’s needs and your family’s preferences.

ABA therapy is often used for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, but it can also benefit those with other developmental or behavioral challenges. Our therapists tailor interventions to each individual’s unique needs.
Therapy intensity depends on the individual’s goals, age, and areas of need. Some children benefit from 10-15 hours per week, while others may require up to 30-40 hours. Our BCBA will recommend an appropriate schedule based on assessment results.
Many insurance payors now cover ABA for autism-related treatments. We recommend contacting your insurance payor to verify coverage. Our billing specialists can also assist in verifying benefits and explaining any out-of-pocket costs, if applicable.
The duration varies by individual. Some children show significant progress within a few months, while others may continue ABA therapy for several years. Consistent reevaluation ensures the program adapts to changing needs.
It often depends on the insurance payor. However, children covered by Medicaid and managed care plans such as Simply, are typically for a 6-month period before a reassessment is required.
Yes! We encourage parents and caregivers to be actively involved. Research shows that family participation maximizes positive outcomes, ensuring that learned skills generalize to everyday settings.
If you have any questions or concerns about the intake process or forms, our staff is here to guide you every step of the way. We believe in open communication and are dedicated to ensuring that you feel informed and comfortable from the very first interaction.
